The afternoon of the 28th of April, 2018 people were all smiling and happy at the Topsia Academy Club, Sapgachhi as Vitamine reached to conduct a health check up and awareness camp with the help of the local Anganwadi workers. The camp scheduled to happen between 12 noon to 3 pm say a massive footfall of 80 people who got themselves checked and received a gift as the reason for their smiles to be broader; tooth brushes and toothpaste. The gift was a delighter in addition to the camps health check up facilities and awareness programabout the facilities available at government hospitals for serious health related problems totallyfree of cost.
The doctors and Vitamine representatives Dr. Aqueel Ahmad, Dr. Suchetan Bhattacharyya, Mr. Sujoy Das and Mrs. Anjali RoyBose, respectively had lots to inform, educate and impart upon the people on the practices of good health and hygiene. Dr.Aqueel Ahmad pointed out, “This is the real place where everyone should be involved in spreading the awareness regarding health and hygiene and also the facilities available for the poor and struggling people.”One of the attendees Asma Bibi said with tears of joy, “ These doctors are doing a wonderful job, we can survive and get the benefit so easily which was not known to us. The private hospitals are so expensive that we fail to afford them, but now onwards we will avail those government hospitals as said by the doctors here. (translated)”.
